Khalifa in Dubai\u2014Close to Heaven<\/h2>\n

Anyone who looks up at the gigantic Dubai Tower can\u2019t help but be amazed. The world\u2019s tallest building is a masterpiece of technical sophistication and innovative ideas. With a total height of 829.8 meters, the skyscraper leaves all other structures on Earth far behind. <\/p>\n

Based on a Y-shaped floor plan, three building columns rise, supporting one another as they ascend. The construction of the Khalifa Dubai Tower required 330,000 cubic meters of steel and concrete. A total of 103,000 square meters of glass was also used. The building\u2019s total usable floor area is 517,000 square meters. <\/p>\n

To reach such a great height, 57 elevators and eight escalators are in operation. The world\u2019s tallest elevator stops on the 189th floor, at a height of 630 meters. The tower\u2019s spire consists of eight floors. A narrow staircase leads to the top of the building. Incidentally, visitors to the building can go no higher than the 154th floor, which is 585 meters above sea level. <\/p>\n

The Dubai Tower and Its Use<\/h2>\n

163 floors of the building are in active use. The lower floors of the 38 floors open to the public are occupied by the world’s first Armani Hotel. The remaining floors house more than 40 offices and several suites. <\/p>\n

Since January 2011, visitors have been able to dine at @mosphere, a restaurant belonging to the Armani Hotel, located on the 123rd floor. When measured relative to the floors below it, it is the world’s highest restaurant. <\/p>\n

There is an observation deck at a height of 456 meters. Visitors can reach it via two double-decker elevators, which take just one minute to make the trip. Since fall 2014, an additional observation deck has been open to visitors. This platform is located at 555 meters and offers the best view of the Burj Khalifa. Both terraces offer a view of the \u201cDubai Fountain.\u201d The impressive water show begins daily at 6:00 p.m. <\/p>\n

Another unique feature of the Dubai Tower is its two gold ATMs. These began operating in early 2011 and allow customers to withdraw gold bars weighing up to one ounce. <\/p>\n

    Tickets to visit the observation deck on the 148th floor can be purchased in the basement of the Dubai Mall. A brief orientation is also held there. After passing through the security check in the Fast Lane, visitors proceed directly to the two double-decker elevators, which stop at the observation deck on the 124th floor. Inside the elevators, visitors are treated to video presentations to set the stage for the spectacular experience. The elevator shoots upward at a speed of ten meters per second. In the Burj Khalifa SKY Lounge, comfortable sofas and light refreshments await guests. <\/p>\n

    The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of Dubai. A visit is particularly impressive as part of a night tour, when an endless sea of lights lies at your feet. The best place to watch the Dubai Fountain\u2019s water show is from the observation deck. <\/p>\n

    With the At The Top Burj Khalifa SKY Ticket, visitors can spend about 40 minutes on the 148th floor. The crowd here is far less intense than 24 floors below. On the terrace below, touchscreens provide visitors with comprehensive information about the building and its construction. Those brave enough can put on a pair of virtual reality goggles and take an interactive leap off the skyscraper. <\/p>\n

    If you’re looking for a luxurious stay at the Dubai Tower, you can book a VIP tour and take a seat in the world’s highest lounge. A visit to the observation deck, cocktails, and live performances make a stay at the Burj Tower an unforgettable experience. <\/p>\n

    Visiting the Burj Khalifa in Dubai: How much is admission?<\/h2>\n

    There are various ticket options for visiting the Dubai Tower. Prices vary accordingly. The most expensive option was just described. If you\u2019d like access to the lounge on floors 152 through 154 and want to treat yourself to some culinary delights there, tickets start at 175 euros. <\/p>\n

    The \u201cAt the Top Burj Khalifa SKY\u201d ticket grants access to the SKY Lounge on the 148th floor. Snacks and refreshments are included. The observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors are also included in the price. If you plan your visit during the day, between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., the ticket costs 125 euros. An evening visit is just as appealing, but costs significantly less. Between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., the price is about 90 euros. <\/p>\n

    With the cheapest tickets, visitors can access the outdoor terrace on the 124th floor, where they can enjoy a stunning 360-degree panoramic view. Between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., tickets cost 53 euros. At other times, visitors can tour the Dubai Tower for 35 euros. <\/p>\n
